Service Information
Church services are held each Sunday morning at 10:30am.
Services commence with an approximately twenty minute family service before the children and young people over 3 years old leave to join their different junior church groups for their own lively activities.
We have a crèche for the under 3 year olds that runs throughout the whole service.
Our worship blends informality, traditional and contemporary music, participation and preaching from the Bible that is powerful and relevant.
We believe worship should be about excitement, laughter and awe as well as thoughtful reflection. We use Rejoice and Sing and Kidsource for our hymns, accompanied by choir and piano or organ.
The fourth Sunday of each month is an All Age Worship service when the children remain with their families for the whole service. This service is led by members of the congregation and usually involves either the junior church groups or the Girls and Boys Brigade. The worship style is lively with loads of participation as we explore a theme rooted in the Bible.
On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate Holy Communion in which everyone is invited to share bread and wine as Jesus did with his disciples. You don't have to be a member of the Free Church or any church to receive bread and wine. The invitation is open to all who love the Lord.
On the fourth Sunday of every month we also have a quiet and meditative Holy Communion service from 4:00-5:00 pm.
Baptisms, blessings and dedications are usually performed as part of the normal Sunday service. Throughout the year there are a number of special services for Easter and Christmas as well as joint social services with other churches in addition to wedding and bereavement services.
